Gender Affirming Care

Our staff holds that our trans, nonbinary, and gender-nonconforming community members are deserving of necessary and affirming medical care. We recognize that Gender Affirming Surgery (GAS) can present with barriers to access and are dedicated to supporting individuals in their efforts through letter writing. It is not necessary to be a counseling client to schedule a GAS letter appointment and we offer letters at no additional fee.

Art Therapy

Creative efforts shared within a therapeutic relationship may improve cognitive and sensorimotor functions, self-esteem and self-awareness, cultivate emotional resilience, encourage healthy communication strategies, and advance societal change.

Reiki

Staff trained in reiki offer this energy healing technique used for stress reduction, relaxation, and healing that promotes well-being and balance. Reiki is intended to strengthen the body’s ability to heal itself through directing healing energy toward areas of the body that are blocked, attached to negative thoughts and feelings, and where it is needed most.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy treatment that is designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories. EMDR therapy shows that the mind can in fact heal from psychological trauma much as the body recovers from physical trauma.
