We’d Like to Introduce Ourselves

About Lauren

I have a warm, empathetic, and conversational style - I will join you in discussion of what brings you to therapy and offer feedback, ask questions, and at times may even challenge you to examine patterns of behavior or choices that may no longer serve you. I utilize a variety of insight building and strengths-focused interventions in practice, informed by Client-Centered and Feminist Theoretical Perspectives as well as a harm-reduction mindset. I view our work together as collaborative; the expertise you bring about your own life experiences is tremendously valuable in therapy.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), holding both a Masters in Psychology and a Masters in Clinical Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and two Bachelors degrees from Ohio Wesleyan University. I have been working in this field since 2013. My areas of clinical experience include depression, anxiety, grief/loss, identity building, relationship concerns, chronic illness, family struggles, communication, self-esteem, stress management, and trauma. I am a kink-affirming therapist who is poly-friendly, as well as body liberation and sex work allied. I am both an identifying and affirming LGBTQIA+ clinician.

“The new dawn blooms as we free it. There is always light, if only we are brave enough to see it. If only we are brave enough to be it.”
